Thoughts on Rye vs. John Jay

May
8

Rye celebrates getting included in the discussion for Section 1's best team. OK, maybe it was just a celebration for beating John Jay. (Frank Becerra Jr./The Journal News).

For several years, Section 1 lacrosse could be roughly described like this: "There's John Jay, Yorktown, and everyone else."

Make some room for Rye.

Enough already

April
29

If there was one thing that would link together just about every game I've seen thus far, it has been a complaint about officiating.

Look, these games can't ALL be poorly officiated. So I'm beginning to think that players and coaches are just looking for reasons to take their frustration out on the refs.

Part 1 is over for Yorktown

April
24

If you look at Yorktown's schedule, there really are three parts:

Part 1: Out-of-area schedule against some of the best teams in the country (McDonogh, St. Anthony's, Chaminade, Ward Melville, Darien).

Part 2: Section 1 schedule, of course highlighted by THE GAME against John Jay.

Part 3: Playoffs.

Michael Bonitatibus made some great saves agianst Darien. He'll need to [...]
