For the second-straight game, a second-half turnaround allowed Pleasantville to remain undefeated.
The Panthers secured an 8-7 win at Mahopac thanks to a strong defensive effort in the second half that held the Indians to just one goal.
Josh Della Puca (two goals) scored the game-winner with 4:08 remaining, completing a comeback that had Pleasantville (7-0) trailing 6-3 at halftime.
The win comes two days after the Panthers overcame a 5-2 halftime deficit against Putnam Valley to win 8-7 in overtime. Della Puca had a game-high six points (two goals, four assists) in the win.
“We have some really mentally tough kids,” Pleasantville coach Chris Kear said. “There was no panic (at halftime). They were very calm. They just knew they needed to make the next play.”
