We’re on the eve of the postseason.
The brackets will be made official in the morning, and then we can start to debate the playoffs. I strongly believe that we have clear favorites in Class B and Class C, but we could have some classic quarterfinal and semifinal matchups. Nobody can figure out Class A. I guess you’d have to make Arlington the front-runner, but Lakeland/Panas, Mamaroneck and Mahopac could win. Heck, you might even see a team like North Rockland or White Plains show up in the final depending on how the bracket comes together.
I will be heading to BOCES in the morning, and will make the brackets available as soon as we get them, hopefully before lunch. We’ll do a live chat tomorrow night, just to go over everything. Don’t forget, there is a 24-hour window before the seedings are locked in. Sometimes the match needs to be corrected, and this allows any mistakes to be fixed.
The scores from Saturday were not posted yesterday because I was busy celebrating my parent’s 50th anniversary, my wife’s 21st birthday (yes, that’s a joke) and Mother’s Day. Two results had me asking, how? Lakeland/Panas taking down Shen was big. Rye beating up on Iona Prep was impressive, too. You can tell from the weekly power rankings that I expected Bronxville to beat John Jay.
