Matchup to watch: Conley vs. Brendan Hynes.
My take: Mamaroneck is a stubborn team with a star in Conley who missed 10 games and is utilizing fresh legs to blow through opposing defenses. It would be a mistake to believe he’s the only player with stick skills. The Tigers need to play their best defensive game of the year because Mahopac is playing with more discipline and finishing shots now. Hynes is likely to create a number of turnovers if Mamaroneck isn’t moving the ball quickly.
Up next: Minnisink Valley (9) vs. Niskayuna (2)
My pick: Mahopac 8, Mamaroneck 5

Not sure this one is going to be as close. I think Brendan Hynes is an absolute stud. Deserves AA this year for sure. I think he shuts down Conley. Mamo’s goalie is going to need to stand on his head. I like solid team effort offensivley for PAC.

Now I don’t think they will win tonight either, but sure glad I can count on something when it comes to Mamaroneck and you.

Congrats to Mamoroneck. I really thought Pac lost its mojo when the tigers made a run to end the 2nd quarter and they tightened up and fell out of there game. Let’s be honest here though..why would Mike have anything against Mamo? On paper they played the tougher schedule and were more successful. Regardless of who won this game..Nisky is a top notch squad..good luck to the Tigers.

what happened to pac?
Pac played tough but missed some shots from inside 10 yds by shooting high and wide or Brill making great saves.
Crazy game, not pretty, but hard fought. Pac is a big physical team, but when settled, their O was predictable – lots of 1v1 hoping for a slide.
The Hynes-Conley battle was a good one. Conley finished with 4G but Hynes probably had 4or 5 CTs.
Greeberg’s speed was too much for Pac D. Mamo’s transition game needs help if they want to make a game of it with Nisky.
Great lax game – congrats to Mamo – everyone comes back next year – no Senior starters…
Can some one help me out. I see articles about the B and C championships but nothing about A. Hope I missed it somewhere and if so please tell me where to look. If not shame on LOHUD and Mike!!!!
