The weather has really done some damage to our ability to staff games, so I’m going to be at Brewster covering the girls and boys games. Needless to say, I’m going to be on Twitter all evening. If you’re out watching, leave a score or tweet me an update and I’ll pass it along.

With any luck Verizon will get around to fixing the problem here in Brewster that’s left most of the neighborhood without phone/internet service since Friday. It’s no fun running to Staples every time I need to blog. Either way, I’ll have previews on the semifinals up tomorrow, and then we’ve got some time before the championships next Wednesday at White Plains.

Pleasantville won 15-6. It was 6-5 Pville at half then the flood gates opened. JFK played hard though and even though they lost they had a great season and made a name for themselves. 14-4 in the third season with the Savs, I expect great things from Kennedy in years to come.

Who won PV @ Bronxville ?
Kennedy was over-rated and did not play any one competitive during the season…they barely escaped Irvington and lost by 9 today…..the only great things to come is the baseball team having another run to the state title….
bronxville won 10-3 was slightly competitive but bville was just the better team
John, you must be one of the JJ whiners…and your kid sat on the bench….Kennedy has made huge accomplishments under new coaches in 3 years and will continue. Not sure we can say the same for JJ

What huge accomplishments did JFK make….they lost in the first round last year and always had a good program with Coach Keevins years ago….face it they played in a weak league and once the competition got tough, they lost….plus they are losing the stud freshmen, their leading goal scorer and goalie. Since they don’t have a jv, whats going to continue….
Nobody remembers who wins the league when you lose to the 18 seed and you are #5…
Pleasantville should have been a top 4 or 5 seed not the 18. That proves the seeding system is flawed. If you are bashing Kennedy for being a 7 seed, not 5 get your facts straight, and losing to the 18 seed you should say the same to Dobbs because they were the 2 seed and lost to the 18. Kennedy had more wins this year than they had from 2005 to 2009. It takes more than 3 years to build a program and the Savs are going to use this year as a great stepping stone for years to come.

Why the hater yourself? You just asked why others are “Kennedy bashing” and then you bash PVille. PVille still has to beat HH which beat us 9-7 a few weeks ago. However, if we get the opportunity to get wrecked by BVille will that make you feel better? Where does that leave you after you just got wrecked by PVille. Advice for Gaels, please do not schedule the Panthers next year, they are just starting to peak and the returning cast is sick!

Why don’t the Sav’s play some out of league games with better teams…have they burned to many bridges or maybe their ego’s are just to big…..

For the past 8 years JKF has had ONLY 2 winning seasons (oh and they are the last two seasons.) Until JFK shows they are on the winning track please do not think that any team is going to pick them up as an out of league game, especially with the new point system. Bronxville, Arlington can attest to that and now they are playing some of the best teams in Section 1…JFK keeps improving and they will be just where you want them to be – they may even win a state championship before JJ
