Class B
No. 9 Greeley (8-9) at No. 1 Yorktown (12-4)
4:30 p.m.
Pick: After taking a couple of troubling losses to end the regular season, the Huskers might be ready to play hard from the start, and that could quickly spell the end of the season for the Quakers. Pick: Yorktown wins 14-3.
No. 5 Rye (10-6) at No. 4 Brewster (11-6)
7 p.m.
Pick: The Garnets are prone to hiccups, but are coming off their best offensive performance of the season with 17 goals in Round 1 against Eastchester. Very few teams have matched the Bears’ defensive consistency and intensity. Brewster wins 8-7.
No. 6 Tappan Zee (12-5) at No. 3 Somers (10-7)
4:30 p.m.
Pick: The Dutchmen simply don’t have the depth, but there is some talent. It could be close for a while if the Tuskers continue to struggle on face offs, but if they are winning possessions the offense usually overwhelms lesser opponents. Somers wins 12-5.
No. 10 Harrison (8-9) at No. 2 John Jay (10-6)
5 p.m.
Pick: The Huskies are going to see a couple of defensive looks they haven’t seen all season, and they can’t afford to waste a single possession. A controlled pace suits the Indians best, and but they do like to push when the defense is creating turnovers. John Jay wins 9-2.
