I see a couple of chances for teams on the fringe to steal a headline.
Putnam Valley has been picking up momentum and could really get people to stop and take notice if it somehow pulls off an upset against Lakeland/Panas, which has to guard against letting down after the Murphy Cup loss. Iona Prep could make a statement for the CHSAA with a win at John Jay. Suffern could move a step closer to locking up the No. 1 seed in Class A with a win at Mahopac, which is celebrating its seniors.
Byram Hills and Fox Lane could also be an interesting game, and Stepinac is playing for a league title at Monsignor Farrell.

Kennedy won again! Beat Peekskill 16-5 piling on the goals boys
Pville loses it’s 6th game by 1 goal. Today it was to Harrison 10-9 and the first meeting was a 6-5 loss as well. Not sure how they did it but they lost to Hen Hud by two goals. Maybe HH had an empty net goal at the buzzer.

If Kennedy posters were a little more humble in victory, I’m sure that people would, but when they talk about piling on goals against Peekskill you’re essentially asking for it.
Kennedy and John Jay supporters seem to be the most polarizing group. Is there some other connection below the surface creating this environment? John Jay supporters also seem to be prone to be their own worst enemy. I don’t believe John Jay has won a NYS championship but they sure seem to behave that way and are quick to criticize their current coach, and apparently the past coaches. All their coaches (past and present) are striving to improve the program but should be paid overtime to deal with all the extraneous nonsense. Probably will never be a championship program with all that background noise.
