Do you have those No. 2 pencils ready?
We’ve got kids all over the section filling in tiny circles on the SATs, which means the action isn’t starting until later. And in some cases, not at all. They could not find officials to cover at least two games that I know of when the schools decided to push back the star. Somers at Bronxville and RCDS at Rye had to be postponed.
Neither change is reflected on the BOCES site.
Although there is some entertainment value in New Canaan at John Jay and Happauge at Brewster, I’m going to say the game of the day is Dobbs Ferry at Pelham. It’s under the lights at Glover Field. Both teams want the headline for this one, and there are some Division I players in the game.
I’m heading to my first lacrosse jamboree, so if you’re watching, post a score, please. Tweet at me, too, I’ll pass the news along.

Predictions on the df v pel game???
Pelham 11 Dobbs 6
Tappan Zee 6 Pearl River 2
Hen Hud 10, Pleasantville 8 (final)
JJ 5 New Canaan 10 final. JJ stinks!
Pelham beats Dobbs 6-4
Too bad Dobbs had a couple of student fans that couldnt control their mouths, badgering players on the field and the school security. Your team is good enough not to need you guys chirping on the side lines. Just makes you look stupid.
I was at df pelham game, and there was a group of pelham children wearing pelican uniforms chirping just as much to the dobbs ferry players. Great game all around hard hitting, and hustle by both squads.
Dobbs is usually the more physical and athletic team but Pelham outdid us in both, it seemed they wanted it more than us. They got ever ground ball, great job. they are well coached and came in better prepared. GOOD LUCK IN THE PLAYOFFS, I Hope we meet again.
Disappointed to see the RCDS/ Rye game get cancelled. Hopefully, it gets rescheduled because even though rye always seems to win it, it is an intense game and fun for the players. I doubt it will though.
