I don’t like the look of the sky.
Hopefully, we get most of the games in today. And there are some good match ups south of Yorktown and Lakeland/Panas, starting with Iona Prep and Fordham Prep. It’s always a smash up. And the Gaels cannot be happy about dropping three in a row to a bitter rival.
I know White Plains is hoping to put the inconsistency aside before sectionals, and beating North Rockland would be a good sign. The Red Raiders, though, are the better team so far this year. Pearl River and Tappan Zee always put on a spirited event, no matter the sport. Mamaroneck has dropped five in a row and might be looking to improve a bad mood against Eastchester.

Some thoughts from the game I watched … Somers came out of two very difficult games against Yorktown and St. Anthony’s a stronger team. Annoying breakdowns are fewer and farther between. … Anthony Carpenter is an underrated playmaker. … In a perfect world, you’d like to see the Tuskers fare better on face offs. They couldn’t handle Charlie Evans at the X or Brendan Hynes on the wing. … Somers goalie Chris Cousin slammed the door on Mahopac several times, and is getting more consistent. … The Indians look like a team that is waiting for something to go wrong. And when bad things happen, they get mad. And when everybody is angry, they play better. Here’s an idea, start the game off mad at the world.

Mike the moron…now that’s a crummy thing to say in your comments about Mahopac players…but then again if you were a legit sportswriter you wouldn’t be writing a HS sports blog.
Taking cheap shots at Mahopac kids? Take a look in the mirror Mike, you are writing a HS lacrosse blog glossed over, dismissed malevolent behavior in the last week, to extend a bad word about an entire school team Mahopac, that may not be that talented. Simply shameful conduct by a person in a leadership position writing about young people.
TrueLax, you need to sharpen your reading comprehension skills! Mike didn’t say anything wrong or derogatory about the Mahopac kids. Most kids play sharper when they are “angry” or “mad”. I tell my kids all the time to play angry. They focus better. Dude you need to relax.

If you think I’m mean, you should’ve heard what my wife called you, and she’s a Mahopac alum. Now get back to work, the Slurpee machine needs to be cleaned.
ossining comes off nice win and let’s their guard down against Keio
I have no problem putting my name on this but I think it is a disgrace that anyone come on this blog and speak bad about Mike and his writing. He is one of the only ones including Ray g that has stayed faithful to this area. I played in the late 90’s n believe me Mike was the nice one and a gentlemean as they both are. Society and the people in it have made little media remarks that actually I would want my players to have “a chip on their shoulder” as mike is saying into a “disgrace”. Well I think that may be the problem with this particular writer accountability and acceptance that it may be the players not the coaches or writers that are creating this situation for the pac.

BH 12-5 over Harrison. Tight early than BH broke it open in 2nd half
Hey Mike,
