It’s kind of quiet for a Thursday, but I do like a couple of the match ups on the schedule.
Rye and Lakeland/Panas are sorting through some of the same issues, starting with youth and inexperience. I’m heading over to watch that one if this bug I’ve been fighting relents a little. Check my Twitter feed to see whether I breathing or not. Fox Lane and Byram Hills seem to be closely matched and the schools have a nice little rivalry going in lacrosse. Brewster and Somers could have some interesting moments if the Bears have learned some lessons from what’s been a very difficult schedule thus far.
Just for kicks, here are my picks for toughest schedules this season relative to a team’s ability:
1. Somers
2. Yorktown
3. John Jay
4. Brewster
5. Greeley
If you’re out watching a game, please leave a score or tweet at me and I’ll pass it along.

Hands down Yorktown tuffest schudule, right now 5 on schudule top 10 tri-state.
Mike,
“toughest schedules this season relative to a team’s ability”
For kicks, I’ll stir the pot a little.
You picked all the best teams in the section…therefore their “tough schedules” are very relative to their ability.
I believe the more apropos selections would be a Hen Hud or PV, lessor talented teams, but playing many of the northern suburb power teams. Less talent playing tough teams.
All the best,
Bundy
Panas 10 rye 5.
Somers 9 brewster 8
Irvington 11 Ardsley 0
Al,
Agree.
When do you ever update or change scores that are incorrect or missing?
Irvington beat Hastings 10-6 before break and yesterday beat Ardsley 11-0.
Pac 7, HH 1 (half)
Pac 14, HH 2 (final)
Somers 7 brewster 4. Somers goalie won the game. Could have been the other way without him
rye lakeland panas score anyone?
Croton 13 Blind Brook 2
Putvalley 12 Kennedy 3
Put valley up 2-1 after one and 5—2 at half
11-3 LP
Brewster’s Defense played so tough its a shame they couldnt get a simple save throughout the game. Their Dmids did a great job on somer’s mids. Two illegal stick penalties didnt help however they killed it without letting up a goal. Brewster’s goalie cost them the game. Kid couldnt stop a shot to save his life from the outside. He even fell back into the net on one of them. Cousins put on a show at the other end, great technique and for a small goalie played very very athletic. This game could and should have been the other way around but somers could make the big saves and brewster couldnt. Credit to brewster though they are one tough team and could cause problems in sectionals.
you are what your record says you are!!!
irvington at croton tomorrow- could be a good one?
sufferns defense really needs to pull it together. 6 goals against pr is not something they should be proud of. as a suffern d alum im telling them that they need to find the clicking point to start playing as a time. that means every play, slide as a team, talk as a team, finish the play as a team. once that happens, watch out
brewster goalie had 15 saves…....
you had to be there, goals were very weak , should have been 20 saves and brewster wins
laxmom he just posts scores reported by coaching staffs, if its missing its the coach, if its wrong its the coach or a typo, or the book was wrong, or the scoreboard was wrong, or you just have the wrong score in your head, but does it really matter ???
Irvington at Croton wont be so good in my opinion, not that either has played any powerful teams, but Croton seems more consistent putting up big numbers. Yeah its against Haldane, Briarcliff, Blind Brook, Lourdes, but that seems better than Ardsley, Hastings, and such. I think at Croton they win by half a dozen or more
Not posted yet but im sure it will be, not sure if its mudbutt or golf slowing Mike down, but better games for FRIDAY:
Under the lights
Shen @ Yorktown 7pm
TZ @ Suffern (middle school field) for you guys on the other side of the river and C.South/Nyack
4:30 game
Bronxville @ Pelham – that will answer some questions for both teams
Laxxer. You are an idiot, for sure. If you are a student then maybe the is a chance you will smarten up someday and it is too bad no one ever taught you respect. If you are an adult you are actually more then an idiot and while there might be some slight hope for you I think your stupidity is irreversible. So please do us all a favor and never post again. Lacrosse is a great sport and goalies should always be protected by their teammates and never abused by anyone.
You could never have played this sport and lacrosse rules and hopefully there is hope for you down the road. Just stay off this post.
PS. I have no affiliation with Brewster but wish all lacrosse players good luck
Actually chief I played in high school and college as a defenseman. I have watched Brewster’s big games against pac and jay and yesterday against somers. Their defense is outstanding and works very hard. I was clearly stating an opinion that their goalie let up some soft goals and it was a shame to see them play such a good game again and be let down by some outside shots. This team shut down a jay team and should have won against mahopac. Yes they need more scoring but it was glaring yesterday that goaltending was the difference in the game. You need to relax buddy
