It’s a big moment for Carmel, Keio and Blind Brook.
All three schools will be making their varsity lacrosse debut today, which is a bold statement given the current budget crisis. Most schools are looking into cutting sports. Lacrosse is growing in such numbers that schools are jumping on the bandwagon.

Game of the Day
In order to be considered among the elite Arlington needs to show consistency from season to season, and it needs to start beating quality opponents. Brewster, which is throwing underclassmen into the fire, is an established program. It should be a good game to watch.

Yes this is a big step for Carmel HS. The program has been built up to this level at varsity. I would like to thank Coach Glen for his great work during the earlier days of modified to this day. GO RAMS….
look for briarcliff to win big against blind brook today and look for them to be good this season and get back on track to winning again after a disappointing last couple of seasons team has a lot of seniors who are ready to make there mark
Sleepy Hollow wins 11-4 vs Westlake…game was over by half time when SH took their foot off the pedal…I believe they play @ Briarcliff on Thursday at 445pm
Good luck Carmel!
Hen Hud 17, Carmel 5
yikes.
pleasantville wins a close one against croton, 8-6. Croton shows that they’re some real competition
Arlington pulls off the upset…8-6 over brewster!? Do I have the score right? That is what the poughkeepsie journal is saying.
Wow!!! what a bad job by Brewster. Brewster is going down hill fast
no credit for arlington though? maybe brewster is staying the same, while other, more agressive programs are getting better?
Good luck to Carmel and Blind Brook in their new programs.
I heard Forrest Walter from JJ is out for 2 weeks with a shoulder injury. Town is licking there chops!
Good win for Arlington! Another tough schedule ahead for Arlington—good luck.
yep…tough schedule but a weak league. They should coast to a league title. maybe they can challenge a couple of the more traditional powers on their schedule though. arlington is not a fun place to play when they start getting their fans out to the games way up north in dutchess (ask yorktown after last year’s game). losing way up there makes for long bus rides home.
yorktown of course won the game…just closer than expected.
Brewster is not going downhill fast. They enjoyed a good season last year with a senior heavy team. They graduated 2 all section players and an additional all league player, along with 8-9 other seniors. Its part of the game but Brewster will only get better as the season goes on. To say they’re going downhill fast is an inaccurate statement.
Brewster’s young and were jittery the first half. They outplayed arlington the second half when the Dinge’s and Flattery stepped it up. Good win to Arlington but look for Brewster to get going.
They outplayed Arlington in the second half because they pulled out the starting attack line. Brewster is a young team who has a great future.
upstate,
Have a good youth program, continued good coaching, schedule and Arlington will be a contender in Class A in the future. Thought it was unproductive last season with too much hype and expectations from good intentioned supporters for a new program .
Good luck.
