I wrote a piece for today’s Journal News about Brian Kuczma’s first summer away from the pro game.
He didn’t really miss the logistical tangles.
And there wasn’t a lot of time spent in a beach chair. Kuczma helped start up a travel team, played in a summer league, and trained for some upcoming triathlons. Check out the story here.
While flipping through Sports Illustrated this evening, I saw a pretty encouraging number. They are reporting that 1,127,000 Americans played lacrosse last year. That’s a 117.6% increase over the 2000 figure, the largest increase for any team sport.
