Do we move Iona Prep up to No. 1 should the Gaels figure out a way to solve Chaminade? That’s a pretty tall order for anybody on the road against the No. 12 team in the country. It’s a game they get credit for scheduling, though.
The local games are thin, but Pelham at Mamaroneck and Nyack at Briarcliff are worth keeping an eye on.
Here’s the schedule:
Hopkins at Rye Country Day, 4:15 p.m.
New Rochelle at Pearl River, 4:30 p.m.
Nyack at Briarcliff, 4:30 p.m.
Pelham at Mamaroneck, 4:30 p.m.
Nyack at North Salem, 4:30 p.m.
Tappan Zee at Kennedy, 4:30 p.m.
Sleepy Hollow at Roosevelt, 4:30 p.m.
Hastings at Peekskill, 4:30 p.m.
Irvington at Croton-Harmon, 4:30 p.m.
Edgemont at Nanuet, 4:30 p.m.
Ardsley at Ossining, 4:30 p.m.
Clarkstown North at Harrison, 4:30 p.m.
Eastchester at Albertus Magnus, 4:30 p.m.
(Update 9:15) The scores are coming in:
Nyack 4, Briarcliff 3
Hackley 12, Collegiate 4
Nanuet 12, Edgemont 3
Pelham 10, Mamaroneck 7
Rye Country Day 18, Hopkins 7

Notch another win for Pelham.
11-8 over Mamaroneck
RCDS beat Hopkins 18-7.
RCDS heads into the Rye High game 11-0, and as the favorites.
Irvington beat Croton-Harmon 14-3. Irvington is now 7-0
iona lost 12-7
Looks like its a bad day to be a Croton Tiger haha. Glad Irvington kept the Tigers in place. Our boys played Croton here last week and they’re team was very dirty and showed little class. Their head coach seemed to be a goon, yelling at his and encouraging dirty play all while verbally abusing the officials. Go Dutchman!
Pelham won 10-7 not 11-8.
TZ beats JFK 10-2
Rye High
Let’s show a little class
Rye High,
Our team has dominated everyone from start to finish. You pussies have been getting smacked around all season. Good luck.
Mike
COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PUSH THE DELETE BUTTON ON SOME OF THE ABOVE GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YA I went a little overboard
Yea but rye has got one good middie and has been pretty shaky. RCDS is getting all of their defensemen back who have missed the last few games due to injury. RCDS is gonna prove that they are as good as the “Power League”.
Rye High is just one of those losers that goes to RHS and prides himself in their athletics, even though he contributes nothing to it. Good luck to Rye and RCD this weekend.
RCD LAX,
You shouldn’t have even responded Rye High.
To RCD LAX you guys are a joke go play john jay or yorktown and see if you dominate them like the other joke new england division 3 teams you play
Chaminade 12 Iona 7 impressive game for the Gaels
AS a Put Valley, Fan i see Rye Often and the players and fans are a class bunch that can not be over looked . I can not say that about all schools. So that one person is one of the few we should ignore.
how about u go play PGs and such and there is no such thing as D3 lacrosse
just prep school
Tappan Zee Faithfull-
A- Nobody played dirty—it is called toughness
B- Nobody encouraged bad behavior
C- Nobody abused official
Unfortunately, you are not educated enough yet in the game to comment. Game today was 9-2 dutchmen.
Fans from Rye and RCD need to cool down a lil bit, i’m sure it will be a good game. Its a good rivalry and im sure that RCD being good this year adds a little fire to it. But i still think the garnets have what it takes. good luck to both teams.
Rerun im sorry i take pride in my schools athletic program which has been raking up the football state championships
and laxratatt on laxpower it says you guys play NE II/III meaning division II and III teams so there is more than just prep schools
Who would Pelham play in sectionals? Do they have a good shot at a sectional title, or is this just a lot of hype from a small school beating up on other weaker teams?
I saw the Pelham – Mamk game yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at the skills that a number of the Pelham kids had. I had not seen that in the past years. They didn’t look like kids who picked up their sticks in Feb and put them down in June. I don’t think they have enough depth to challenge for sectionals, but anybody who takes them for granted is in for a rude surprise.
slacrosse, explain “garbage”.
Both Eichs and Johnson are division 1 caliber lacrosse players.
Who are Eichs and Johnson, and there are probably only 6 or 8 kids who might be Div 1 in all of section 1. So don’t hold your breath until signing day.
Chuck Winters are you the Chuck who was once coach of Cortland D 2 Championship team 1975 or are you another Chuck Winters?
Sorry, but Chuck was my coach at SUNY Cortland and I thought I would pull up some of the old names to see who might recognize it. Some of us realize that the game was actually invented long before it became popular in the last 5 or 10 years
You would be happy to hear that Chuck Winters is still very active in the lacrosse community. Proud to see that Cortland won this year over Gettysburg (where he was the former Athletic Director). I would know… I am his daughter.
Johnson is committed to Delaware, Doug Eich has an offer from Albany and Jon Eich decided to play d-3 because of academics.
