There are three important games on the schedule for teams seeking validation.
Lakeland/Panas heads for John Jay, and both teams are looking to make a statement. Do we consider the winner the second-best team in the section? Clarkstown South hosts Suffern, and there are bragging rights on the line. Is the winner the unofficial Rockland champion? Putnam Valley is visiting Byram Hills, and cannot afford to slip up after the biggest win of the season.
Here is the rest of the schedule:
Bronxville at Scarsdale, 4:30 p.m.
Brewster at Mahopac, 4:30 p.m.
Fox Lane at White Plains, 4:30 p.m.
Horace Greeley at Hen Hud, 4:30 p.m.
Suffern at Clarkstown South, 4:30 p.m.
Putnam Valley at Byram Hills, 4:30 p.m.
Lakeland/Panas at John Jay, 4:30 p.m.
Westlake at Irvington, 4:30 p.m.
Pine Bush at North Rockland, 4:30 p.m.

If you’re out there, find a spot in the shade keep us informed.

Can’t wait to see how the Byram Hills- Put Valley game turns out. I’m surprised that isn’t the new poll. Anyone who’s out there, I’d appreciate updates. Thanks, and good luck to both teams. I think they’ll both need it.
Pizza man back,Mahopac is going to get back on track with a good win over Brewster…Mahopacs a good team just had rough begginning, Bronxville is easily going to beat the rich people, White plains over fox lane cause of there phyisicallity, Horace beats Hen Hud easily, Suffern will beat clarkstown south to mess up the county rankings. PV crushes Byram… they got a great offense, Lakeland beats john jay in a good close game, another good game will be NR and PB…Once again the pizza man delivers
Pizza man you are out of your mind… you got most of that right but Byram will not be blown out of the water. Everyteam that they have faced has had a hard time scoring as their defense is fundamentally very good and plays as a unit. Both of their goalies are awesome and their middies are very athletic. I am not saying they are favored but it will not be a blow out.
Next time you order a pizza…watch out. Pizza man never gives the wrong order
Bagel boy- Byram isnt as good as you think the pizza man “will deliever”
Pizza Man- Dont call yourself the pizza man
We shall see, I think you all will be suprised…
Byram will not be destroyed.
L/P will NOT beat John Jay…L/P is a good team but i do not think that they are as good as their record shows or as people make them out to be. There poles aren’t very good and when dougherty is shut down their offense has a hard time producing. John Jay moves very well off ball and makes a lot of cut creating close shots. The L/P poles will have a tuff time locating all the JJ players moving around and we get lost a lot. Also John Jay’s 1-1 match ups are very good, no one will be able to guard daniello and idk if stewart is back but him too
The only problem I can see for Byram Hills is that they’ve lost their star player from last year. I’m talking, of course, about the infamous number 16.
I’ll PERSONALLY will be surprised if the BH-PV game is a close game. If PV crushed Rye, I expect them to crush Byram but we shall see.
Rye isn’t the same team they were last year. Neither is PV for that matter, but there’s a difference. Rye is much worse than last year. Putnam Valley is much better than last year. Byram is about the same and, although they’ve lost a few key players, still have a solid team. Byram beat Put Valley twice last year, meaning that a better Put Valley will make for a close game with Byram. No worries though, we’ll see how this all turns out in a few hours.
PV is winning 7-4
any scoresfor jj l/p
I think PV will beat BH by 8 goals.
L/P surprised me with the loss to Guilderland, I agree that they may not be as good as was once thought. Although the Jay injuries might level the game, I still think Jay wins.
...was a fun game. Lots of momentum shifts. PV up 6-2 early, but BH stormed back. It was 8-7 PV at the start of the 4thQ. PV won four straight FOs and had 4 quick unanswered goals. Pretty much all she wrote. 13-8 Final. May see each other again come playoffs.
L/P JJ score?
LP won in overtime 13-12
The pizza man gets pied in the face.
Seems like Byram put up more of a fight than Rye.
I was at the Put Valley at Byram game and I must say everyone on the PV side started to get very nervous after being up 7-2 early in the 3rd quarter Byram Hills had the greatest 4 minutes of lacrosse I’ve seen in a while and got it to be 8-7 but then in the 4th PV was too much to eventually win the game by 4 if I do recall. Hope to see them again and would love to see the Rye vs. Byram game seeing how they both played exactly the same against PV. Go Class C!
Arlington 11
North Salem 2
i can assure you that putnam valley was not nervous…. quite frankly it didnt effect them at al, thats why they scored 4 quick goals and put byram right back in there place. Putnam valley played probably there worst game of the season and still came out on top. when it comes down to it, a win is a win but i can assure you that putnam valley is not happy with the outcome of the game.
greeley beat hh 10-9
Did Walter, Stewart, and Pickel play for JJ? Great win for L/P.
.... I was talking about the PV side of the bleachers. Don’t get defensive. Go Class C!
LAX: Yes all three did indeed play. Stewart was limited in first half only taking a few runs, but played all of 4th quarter and OT.
suffern beat south
i think suffern should be the county champion
Hey, ...., you know what I hate? People who make up lame excuses to try to make themselves feel tough.
i dont see any excuses?. I made a simple statement about how todays game went.
why should suffern be county champs? NR beat them, south beat NR, all 3 teams are 1-1 against eachother
Pizza man back, and i was correct on predicting every game. And to the hater saying byram wasnt going to get crushed… well they sort of did.I was at the south clarkstown game and i watched them play an ok game. Suffern had oppertunities to blow them out, but once again almost like the NR game gave up a 3 goal lead, and made it interesting, they pulled out the win though. Kevin Mcnally once agian having a great game. One of my scouts was at the PV game and the report was the offense worked methodically and the attack man all work well together. Pizza man just delievered
how did greeley play
I watched the PV Rye game and that were terrific, The PV BH game was lame. To my extent I was thrilled when PV scored a goal, and the attackmen knelt down (2 on the bottom, 1 on top) to form a pyramid after a behind the back goal (that was their celebration) PV is a great team to watch… The Blue Sword Dragon Angel just delivered…
good job to lp came up with a good win
On the PV – B.H game … we all know the outcome , as a PV fan i have no excuses … it is what it is I’m happy with a W. I do not agree with the Pizza man. It was not the prettiest of games. See you guys at BH again . Had to bite my lip on some calls and lack of some at other times. Great team work by the Valley again. Cut one off others step up. Brenden McCrudden nice job in net. to many to name off, again nice team play.
Mike, L/P Scoring: Honovich 3
Bugeya 3
Fallo 2
Fitzpatrick 2
Doherty 1
Prunty 1
Monteferante 1
Big W for LP
Great game. Both teams played pretty evenly. Good to see Stewart and others playing again and contributing.
Thought Honovich did a particularly strong job today!
#21 (I think) for LP.The kid could not be more then a few inches over 5 ft. His pole towered over him!! But what a good player, fast , aggressive, good stick skills, etc. Big contributor today.
Irvington beat Westlake about 14-5 (I’m not positive that was the final but it was around that)
rye will bounce back mark my words they will come together as a team and gel like they know they need to. You will see them come out in the end like you have before
hey “land” – that wouldn’t be short for “lakeland” would it? If so, it’s a lame rip-off of ‘town… I’ve heard people recently cheering “come on ‘land” and, sorry, it just doesn’t sound right. (and I graduated from LL, so I can say it):o)
wow mahopac actually won?? shocker
LoveTown:
Do not know when you graduated however, Hornet faithful have been yelling “Go Land” for decades!! It has nothing to do with Town? Good win for the Rebels , nice comeback, young guys starting to step it up!
A wins a win in the score books though I thought PV game was off. Coming off a great game like they played against Rye this didn’t look like the same team.
Congrats Lakeland on a good win.
It has been DECADES for me, Hornets Not rebels, (but I go to a lot of events and only heard it just over the past year or two!) just having fun, though! Great win for your boys!
Disagree with the post about Doherty being the only weapon. He has definitely scored less than last year. Scoring is pretty well spread around among all of the guys.
No offense to the Rebels but I don’t think that any section one team will beat Yorktown this year. Hope L/P can give them a game and would love to see them give them a scare but I am sure that Lindsay and the rest of the crew would much rather play their best game against Yorktown in the section final.
