Today is the first day of the NCAA’s fall signing period — the week-long windown in which current high school seniors can sign binding national letters of intent.
Now, not all sports are invluded in this period. Football, for instance, is not. Lacrosse is.
So we are expecting many of the recruits whose commitments we’ve previously reported on to make it official today.
Among them — Somers’ Joe Marasco, the No. 8-ranked senior in the nation, who is bound for national champion Syracuse. And Yorktown’s John Ranagan, also among the top rated 12th-graders from sea to shining sea. He’s headed for Johns Hopkins.
There are still a handful of D-I recruits who have not yet announced their plans. We hope to have news on some or all of them within the next seven days. So stay tuned.
In the meantime, “here’s a recap of the commitments we’ve reported on.”:http://boyslacrosse.lohudblogs.com/2008/06/21/daily-recruiting-updates-for-class-of-2009/
