After earning his bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University this past season, former John Jay star Pete Coluccini had a couple of options.
In a nutshell, he could remain with the Orange for his final year of eligibility despite losing his starting goaltender’s job to freshman John Galloway.
Or he could go to another Division I program and get a brand-new start.
Coluccini decided to do just that, opting to transfer to Ohio State “as we reported this past summer.”:http://boyslacrosse.lohudblogs.com/2008/08/08/coluccini-transfers-to-ohio-state/Now that fall ball is over, Coluccini has a better idea as to whether or not he feels he made the right move.
You can thoughts straight from him as Coluccini was interviewed by Inside Lacrosse’s Jon Brand.

wow that’s impressive that a freshman could take his spot. How are the freshmen that were recruited from our area to Syracuse doing? How did they make out in fall ball? Any updates?
I saw SU at Stony Brook this fall. I don’t think Granelli or Baddaluco made the trip. At least I did not see them and I think they would be hard to miss. Kevin Drew got some time on Man-down and looked pretty good. It looked like they are grooming him for the Matt Abbott role for the 2010 season.
Pete, best of luck @ OSU.
Granelli is red shirting.
