Kieran McDonald, a Rye resident heading into his senior year at the Westminster School in Simsbury, Conn., gave an oral commitment to North Carolina earlier this week.
Following last summer’s Empire State Games, Rye resident Kieran McDonald said his mailbox was “flooded with mail from colleges.”
After drawing interest from Georgetown, Colgate, Notre Dame, Loyola, Denver, Harvard, Brown, Dartmouth, Ohio State and North Carolina, he’s made his choice. He has given an oral commitment to join newly named coach Joe Breschi at North Carolina.
You can read more about McDonald’s decision in a story that appears today in The Journal News and on LoHud.com. “Here’s the link to the story.”:http://www.lohud.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2008807250397
