Coming soon: All-star/all-county teams

June

On Friday, July 11, we’ll be unveiling our Westchester/Putnam all-stars and Rockland all-county selections in boys lacrosse in The Journal News and right here at LoHud.com.

This will include first- and second-team selections as well as honorable-mention honorees. (This will include some rising juniors and even seniors who may have flown below the radar.) Be sure to check it out.

All of our players of the year in each respective sport are considered for our spring athlete of the season,

But there’s a lot to consider.

Andrew Lohrfink needs to be recognized. He gets ripped off in the All-Section nominations and then proves everyone wrong by making Empires. I have a biased Byram Hills opinion but still, the kid led our team, sometimes single handedly, to the section final. In addition, EVERY game he was "shut down" by the other team but still managed to rack up the points as well as the # on the scoreboard.

Lohrfink was offered a spot on the top 30 last week, he apprantly turned it down. From what I am told, he had a family commitment.
