Chalk city

Can a road team win a game? Can we get an upset?
Apparently not thus far during the first two rounds of the playoffs.
The brackets have held true to form thus for, which, if nothing else, shows the seeding committee and the preseason rankings of teams for their respective divisions was pretty accurate.
Some teams have come close. Ossining and Briarcliff lost road games to Somers and Pleasantville by one goal, respectively. But no underdog has broken through.
Does this mean that the parity that has been discussed frequently on this blog is really just not there. Is there still as much of a gap between the power teams and the rising programs as there used to be?
If nothing else, maybe we can all hope that the lack of playoff upsets will lead to some great semifinal and final games.
Thus far, there really haven’t been a lot of competitive games.

Pelham was the number 10 seed and beat Ardsley, the number 7 seed, on the road.
True, good one.
This is kinda random, but I was just wondering what "chalk city" meant? I've seen it used here and in a couple other sports articles and have no idea how it applies. Thanks for any guidance you can give me.
