watup briarcliff the better team today came out and won. Im so happy so snobby idiots from braircliff lost you guys are the worst sports ever. I commen pleasantville for there great sportsmanship after the game today they didn't go crazy and throw there stuff all over and all thats tuff they just shook briarcliff hands and looked forward to the next game great game pleasantville, good luck against rye

  2. laxrat

joe what do u think about the class C mach ups?

  3. asdf fan

    byram over putnam valley

  4. laxer1010

    all classes are seeds 1-4…original

  5. laxwebster

    Rye over Pleasantville 11 – 3

  6. Scout42

    Joe –

Any predictions for the Class C matchups? Rye is obviously expected to beat Pleasantville but what do you think of Byram and Put Valley meeting for the second time?

  7. laxer47689

    Scout –

Yeah, I think it's a given that Rye thwarts Pville (12-5 I'd guess), but the Byram Put Valley matchup is an interesting one…Remember, Byram beat Put Valley on their turf 7-4…should be a good one

  8. lacrosse

haha – number one; pleasantville did throw gloves on the field because after the game they picked them up and number two; some pleasantville kids followed the briarcliff bus and honked so why don't you relax with calling briarcliff snobby.

  9. VLax

Bryam v Putnam Valley is going to be a close one. The first game belonged to Byram by only three and could have been closer. But everyone knows that when playoffs role around everyones game improves.

    Looking forward to friday

  10. Joe Lombardi

I'll be back with some thoughts on the semis in a moment, folks.

In the meantime, congrats to Chris Bocklet, who scored his 200th varsity goal today vs. Harrison. He now has 60 for the season and 203 for his career.

  11. Joe Lombardi

I am now officially on record, folks.

I just put together my picks for all six semifinal games.

    Here's the link.

  12. 16

briarcliff deserved what they got. you never have a pile on and throw your equipment on the field after a regular season game. Shows disrespect to the other team and the the game of lacrosse. i play on pville and i have the upmost respect for rye put valley and byram but never bcliff, not because of the rivalry but because of their actions during the regular season. we win when it matter, take the 9-8 ill take 7-6 in the playoffs anyday. AHAHAHAHAHA

  13. section 1 fan

lacrosse…..ur teams celebration after a REGULAR SEASON WIN was a disgrace to the sport of lacrosse and the integrity of competition, as a fan of the game I was embarrassed to watch the actions of the briarcliff players and fans after the game and i am glad that pleasantville won with class today…..good luck panthers against Rye, keep playing with class!!

  14. section 1

having a little pile on the field and getting a bit excited over a win is really that bad? suck it up and stop your complaining pville, you got your win today congratulations, but theres no reason for you to get snobby about a bit of emotion in a rivalry game. It was a close win that meant a lot to the kids playing… whats the big deal?

  15. section 1

On that note, id like to add that i played for North Salem against Rye, and they were one of the classiest teams we have matched up against all season. Gracious winners, good hosts and true competitors, good luck in sectionals, and hopefully beyond, Rye.

  16. 10509 Bears

Nice to see the North Salem player saying something positive about an opponent, and using proper English as well ! Too many negative comments in this blog lately.

  17. 20

section 1 man, just think about if ure rival threw their gloves all over the field and had a pile on after a regular season game like it was a national championship. they looked like classless idiots stayin at the field an hour after the game and congrats for the win that meant absolutely nothing. With our pleasantville team, we prove that we are not only the better lacrosee team, but we also have so much more respect for the game. IT FEELS GOOD TO END ALL YOUR SENIORS HIGH SCHOOL CARREER. 7-6, 28-0 get at me

  18. Matt M

20 – honestly, who cares how a team celebrates a win. If you were truly classy you would ignore whatever antics the other team got up to and focus on your own game, instead of immediately logging on to a blog and furiously insulting all and sundry behind a veil of anonymity.

  19. bury

Matt M- you cant use those big words, they cant read that well at pleasantville…comon you should know that and #16 is quite possibly the ugliest player known to man

  20. Gonzo

    Hey haha and 16,

what game did you watch yesterday? Were you blind to the taunting blitz that Pville's no. 17 delivered to Briarcliff's players and fans as the game wound down? And as I recall, he was involved in a couple of borderline late hits with taunting in the regular season game.

And in the aftermath of the regular seasson you get insulted because Briarcliff's players celebrate after they beat a power team for the first time in the program's history, and do so in dramatic comeback fashion?

Most of Briarcliff's players never picked up a stick before high school. By contrast, Pville's kids have been playing for years. Yet Briarcliff is essentially an even match-up for Pville now. Maybe that is why some of Pville's parents were screaming for their kids to "take out" Briarcliff's.

  21. 16

sure gonzo u still lost, and bury i think i am quite a handsome man but i guess u like to judge guys. it makes me feel good that this loss has gotten you so mad that the only trash talking you have is about someones looks. you will never win this argument because i can always say one thing that you cant. 7-6. Have a nice summer

  22. da cliff baby

I would shut your mouth 16. We will beat you guys next year in lax, bball and football. And i saw you, you look disgusting. I dont think you deserved that win. Your a second class town compared to briarcliff. So what, we like to celebrate big wins, stop whining like a little baby. We are the bears and we win and lose with more class than many others.

  23. bears

16- You were nothing against us. You should be the last person talking. You are going to lose by at least 7 goals to rye and im going to be hysterically laughing.

  24. 16

u can win next year im going to be in college. so have fun with that. at least we get to play rye unlike you guys because you lost to us. keep talking about next year but you lost yesterday. obviously you guys dont win with class so have fun watching us play tomorrow because your season is over. 7-6. 7-6 7-6 7-6 7-6 7-6 7-6 7-6 7-6 7-6 7-6 7-6 7-6 7-6 7-6 7-6 7-6 7-6 7-6 aahahahahaha

  25. blogs

    relax

  26. Section one

I played for Ardsley last year and though the pville fans were not the nicest people, they were respectful. The players for Pville were some of the classiest players I have played in any sport, they were competitive during the game and there were some words exchanged throughout the game but what makes them classy is that when the game was over they were respectful.

  27. Bear Claw

Enough of this classy stuff. Both Pville and Bcliff players are very dedicated and want to win. I have respect for both teams and all players are classy and respectful towards eachother. Pville got the best of us yesterday. Good luck to the Briarcliff seniors and thank you for bringing a program that 2 years ago had 3 wins to a respectful program. Hopefully we can keep this up in the future. It was a joy watching you guys. Hats off to Pville, great team. Good luck to Pville..knock off Rye guys. You can do it!

  28. rye ma

    Bear Claw

I like your positive attitude, but would you like to come back and join us on the planet earth??? Rye by 5 (I hope!)

  29. Hopeful

Rye by at least double digits. Pleasantville too sloppy with the ball, tough time clearing, and too many unforced errors. YOu can do that against Bcliff but against a quality team like Rye you will be looking at a double digit loss.

    Rye- 14-4

  30. First Class

True Class doesnt accuse others of not having any…yet it is those who accuse others of not having any, that have the biggest void to fill…
