on monday iona prep beat fieldston 16-15 in the metro semi finals . then today on wensday iona beat fordam prep 11-5 in the fianls. . next week the gaels will play Chaminade or St. Anthonys for the chsaa state championship. good luck to iona .. go gaels

Chillen- Actually Fieldston beat Iona 13-10 last year in the metro championships, but obviously those were different teams. I predict Iona over Fieldston in the finals.

Iona is the top seed, and the only other good team is fieldston in riverdale, the rest are decent teams but nothing overbearing. Iona should win

Not sure I know what you mean by the first sentence, but I also don't think I want to know.

I do think Iona Prep could give a solid effort against those three teams. It lost to Rye by one and beat Lakeland/Panas. We know how Rye did against John Jay and Yorktown and Lakeland/Panas was beating Yorktown with a minute and change left.

Iona Prep is good.

Seriously though Jeff, do you think there's any chance Iona Prep could play Brewster, John Jay or Yorktown (also alphabetical) straight up and give a good accounting of themselves?

More importantly, do you think Iona Prep has the wherewithall to become the "other" CHSAA version of Chaminade or St. Anthony's?
