It's playoff time…

The CHSAA playoffs begin Wednesday, with home games at the higher seeds at 4:30 p.m.
The seeds are as follows: No. 1 Iona Prep; No. 2 Fordham Prep; No. 3 Monsignor Farrell; No. 4 St. Francis Prep; No. 5 Stepinac; No. 6 Mount St. Michael; No. 7 St. Joseph’s by the Sea; No. 8. Xaverian/
So is this just a coronation for Iona Prep? The Gaels are looking for their second straight league championship are are the solid favorite to do so. They haven’t lost a league game and beat No. 2 seed Fordham Prep 16-3 in the teams’ last matchup. But that came after an 8-7 triple overtime win in the first meeting.
With Nick Trizano, Myles Gillespie, Gus Guido, Iona Prep has two of the top scorers in the area.
Could Fordham Prep—or anyone else—give Iona Prep any trouble?

the only team that should give iona prep any trouble is….iona prep. we have seen that when they are at thier prime they are one of the top teams in the section. if they play the way they have been lately, they should be able to to run right through the playoffs. but keep an eye out for fordham as well. they always come out hyped when they play iona and it should be fun to watch.
