Just received word that the John Jay-Yorktown has now officially been moved to Friday, May 16 at 7 p.m. at Charlie Murphy Field. We had posted news that it was likely to be moved last week. It had been scheduled for Saturday, May 17 at 1 p.m.
The reason for the change is not lacrosse related. Saturday, May 17 is Yorktown’s Community Day, which runs from noon till 5 p.m.
The teams have had discussions about moving the game the last week, but the plans were not finalized till moments ago.

Also, I should have noted once again what we first told you about a few weeks back.
Both JJ and Yorktown are teaming up to raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness Day.
Players will be wearing bands, there will also be bracelets and raffles.
Proceeds will be donated to the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Foundation which is part of the National Cancer Society.
